Watersports accessories such as the Exit XRail wetsuit hanger, BUX wetsuit change bucket and the SUX suction up rail are essential items for any watersports rider. Designed in a sustainable way the whole system will get your wetsuit dry fast whilst keeping intact the suit’s longevity. We think Exit gear is tiptop and ahead of the game across the industry. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s SUP Mag UK’s editor Tez Plavenieks to give his take on Exit wetsuit accessories.
SUP Mag UK watersports accessories reviews.
I’ve tested and reviewed a LOT of gear in my time. From hardware to soft goods and everything else in between there aren’t any things I haven’t seen. At SUP Mag UK we take all products and actually use them as intended. And this is across a number of weeks rather just for a short bout.

As much as possible we try to ascertain the product’s performance for the long haul. Not just for the purposes of a quick review. Everything we publish has to be credible and authentic. Otherwise there’s no point in publishing reviews.
The XRail, BUX and SUX watersports accessories.
The XRail and SUX suction up rail are completely unique bits of kit in the world of wetsuit hangers. The XRail itself looks wildly different and unfamiliar to what you usually see. It’s the same with the SUX suction up rail – designed to be used in tandem with the XRail for more hanging options. I can’t think of anything that’s similar to the XRail and SUX. And yet, there’s a method in this madness.
Meanwhile, the BUX wetsuit change bucket is an oversized, giant carry all with the additional versatility of doubling as a closed change mat. It’s the largest wetsuit change bucket on the market and has a whole load of versatility. This has been proven over the number of weeks I’ve been using it.
XRail in practice.
At first, I was a little sceptical about the XRail. After all, it’s just a plastic bar. But head designer Kieran Sammon has put a lot of time and effort into the Xrail. Based on the shape of a surfboard the Xrail won’t crease your wetsuit like some wetsuit hangers. Which ensures the longevity of your wetsuit and keeps it out of rubbish bins and landfills after a short period of time.
The Xrail’s ventilation properties have been given lots of thought. As such, the wetsuit hanger dries your wetsuit quickly and efficiently. Meaning your next session is only a short while away. With a whole load of different ways to mount the hanging options Exit’s XRail offers are abundant. Especially in tandem with the SUX which makes the system incredibly versatile.
The BUX wetsuit change bucket winner.
I really do love the Exit BIUX wetsuit change bucket. Everything from its shape, its materials, colourway and carrying capacity is a winner. Plus, the fact you can get change while standing on the foam inner is the icing on the cake. Drainage holes in the foam also allow water runoff to be collected in the base. Which is a nice touch.
The BUX – for me – is more than just a wetsuit change bucket though. I’ve used it in many different ways for varied applications. I also know that Exit’s Kieran uses one to carry his mountain biking kit. Nice to know we’re on the same page!
Final thoughts on Exit watersports accessories and essentials.
The whole Exit watersports accessories is a real winner as far as I’m concerned. I’m a sucker for good design., But performance has to be there as well. And Exit products nail tech brief. And in a unique way.
Whether stand up paddle boarding or indulging in any other watersport the XRail, BUX and SUX are great additions to your kit bag that’ll benefit your watery life.
